Lay Coach
Ray was born in Delray Beach, Florida & moved to Georgia at an early age. Ray began All-Star cheer in 2005 at Atlanta Jayhawks where he would compete in cheer & dance. During this time, he also made the Varsity Competition Cheer at Duluth High School, winning State in 2007. After graduating & finishing high school in 2010, Ray continued his cheerleading career after receiving a scholarship to attend Shelton State Community College where he would win 2 consecutive UCA College National Championships. Ray's last time competing on stage was at the 2019 Worlds Championships with Stingrays Rust.
Ray is USASF Certified in Dance and Cheer (Levels 1-6 both in stunting & tumbling). Additionally, he is GHSA Community Coach certified. Since 2007, Ray has been coaching middle school, high school, Prep & Elite All-Star teams. Ray joined the Walnut Grove Competition Cheerleading Program in 2023 as both the JV & Varsity Competition Lay Coach. He assisted in advancing our Varsity competition team to it's highest State placement to date (10th)! He is excited for what lies ahead for our Warrior Competition Program! |
